THE GULF WAR : Environment: Cleanup
Conservationists in the Persian Gulf, lacking modern equipment and hampered by a war, are planning to try to save wildlife threatened by a massive oil spill by SCRUBBING THEM BY HAND. Saudi officials are recruiting people to work in two-member teams armed with hot water and liquid soap. Said one: “You need one person to catch the bird and one to clean up.”
