Fieldstone Chief Is ‘Builder of the Year’

Peter M. Ochs, chairman and chief executive of Newport Beach-based Fieldstone Co., has been named 1990 Builder of the Year by the Building Industry Assn. of Southern California.

Ochs was honored for his service to both the public and the home building industry. He is a governor of United Way, a trustee for South Coast Repertory Theatre and chairman of the Orange County Business Committee for the Arts.

Fieldstone Co. is the fifth-largest home builder in the Southland, according to The Times’ 1990 building survey.
