I was amazed at the blatantly selfish attitudes of the American couples in Honduras. Not only are they robbing Honduras of a crucial resource but they are perpetuating the idea that American interactions in Central America are justified and necessary. This situation is the creation of an inadequate economic system and cultural misconceptions that have forced people to view their children as commodities on the world market in order to survive.
