Pyewacket Leading Puerto Vallarta Race

Pyewacket covered 127 miles in 24 hours to take a 15-mile lead Wednesday in the Marina del Rey-to-Puerto Vallarta yacht race.

Pyewacket, a California Yacht Club entry owned by Roy E. Disney and skippered by Robbie Haines, has been able to handle light air as well as heavy winds.

Jano, owned by Michael and Bob Kahn of CYC, has taken the overall lead on corrected time. Jano is racing in International Offshore Rule C class.
