New York Times Co.: The New York media company said it earned $12.2 million in the fourth quarter of 1990, contrasted with a loss of $18.9 million in the year-ago period. Quarterly revenue fell 3% to $455.9 million. For the full year, the company earned $64.8 million, versus $266.6 million in 1989, when results included a onetime $205-million gain on the sale of NYT Cable TV. Annual revenue was flat at $1.78 billion. The company said a soft advertising market dampened 1990 results.
