‘Just War’ or Just War?

I’m so relieved to read that the U.S. is “on God’s side” in the Persian Gulf War (Feb. 9). I don’t know how Dan Quayle got his pipeline to the Big Guy, but I’m sure being vice president had a lot to do with it.

These attempts to disguise the hideousness of what’s taking place in the Persian Gulf behind brightly colored ribbons and delusions of God’s complicity represent little but hypocrisy and denial.
