Planning Commissioner Sought

Share

Rolling Hills Estates is now accepting applications from residents interested in filling the Planning Commission vacancy created by the recent departure of longtime Commissioner Donald Landauer.

Landauer, first appointed to the commission in 1979, did not seek reappointment to the seven-member panel when his last term expired at the end of 1990. At the time, he said, he could no longer serve on the commission because of new demands for out-of-state travel in his business.

Landauer’s departure came six months after he was censured by the City Council for failing to obtain necessary city approvals before building a garage on his property.

The Planning Commission is responsible for reviewing and regulating all development proposals in the city and updating its general plan.
