World Bank Executive Killed in Car Accident

RIO DE JANEIRO —
Cezare Caranza, an executive director of the World Bank, has died in a car accident, the Italian Consulate reported Thursday. The consulate gave no further details, but the Estado news agency said Caranza, 50, was killed when a train rammed his car Monday in a suburb.
