The Los Angeles Times will cease publication of the P.M. Final, the afternoon edition, as of Friday, Feb. 15.

For readers wanting stock market quotations, The Times has established a 24-hour-a-day, 900 prefix telephone line. The service will be available as of March 4; the phone number will be published daily in the Business Section. Callers will be able to get quotations on all issues traded on the New York and American exchanges and the NASDAQ National Over-the-Counter market.

Stock quotes will include latest available price, net change from the previous day’s close and the latest trading volume. A daily high and low range is available on NYSE and Amex transactions. Quotations are delayed by at least 15 minutes.

Cost of the service is 75 cents a minute.
