DONA VIOLETA

Share

“The Great Conciliator” was very accurate, reflecting the situation in Nicaragua. I think that Dona Violeta is doing an excellent job in promoting a reconciliation within Nicaragua, because that society is divided.

The majority of us Nicaraguans living in exile are only hoping that the Sandinistas will disappear, but it seems that we will fall back on the situation that we just had. By experience, I can say it is hard to live in exile; that is why all Nicaraguans should try to make peace and reconciliation.

It seems to me that the only mistake is the marginalization of Vice President Virgilio Godoy. Even though his ideas are hard toward Sandinistas, Dona Violeta should acknowledge the union of the different branches that made her a governor and not just give credit to one person.

I hope Boudreaux keeps writing other essays so that the American people can get to see what Nicaragua is going through.
