Speech Contest Won by Wilson Student
Senior Yvonne Cooprider, a member of the Wilson High School academic decathlon team, last week won the student speakers contest of the Lions Club of Hacienda Heights.
She will go on to compete at the zone level of the 54th annual competition sponsored by the Lions Clubs of California and Nevada.
The top prize, awarded around the beginning of June, will be a $6,500 scholarship.
