Downey Flagged for Lokar Column

Regarding Mike Downey, “Is This a Great Country, or What?” (Feb. 15):

What is it that Mr. Downey is really trying to say? Maybe I can help him out. Maybe it’s, “Hey Marco, why don’t you go back to where you came from if you don’t like that flag on your uniform? You’re not even a decent player (like that Australian guy).”

He’s the same guy I overheard saying on KABC: “Anybody ever noticed Sinead O’Connor looks like the banjo player in ‘Deliverance.’ ” He’s no fool. He knows what columns are politically correct these days.
