Caravaggio Painting Found

TURIN, Italy —
Police have recovered a Caravaggio painting that was stolen 17 years ago from an abbey in Turin, authorities said Saturday. Police said the work, depicting the crucifixion of St. Peter, was found in a goldsmith’s storeroom. Experts said the painting dates from the early 1600s and is worth nearly $1 million.
