ALISO VIEJO : Fire Station to Be Dedicated Thursday
To meet the needs of one of South County’s fastest-growing planned communities, the Orange County Fire Department will dedicate a new fire station here.
Ceremonies celebrating the opening of Fire Station 57 will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the station, at 57 Pacific Park Drive. County Supervisor Thomas F. Riley, Fire Chief Larry J. Holms and other representatives of the community are expected to attend.
Fire Station 57 saw its first day of service on Dec. 14. It will be equipped with one fire engine and staffed by three firefighters around the clock.
Funds for construction and equipment were provided as part of an agreement between the county and the developer, the Mission Viejo Co.
