Boutique Beefcake: Call it clever marketing, but the manager of the Giorgio Beverly Hills Boutique at South Coast Plaza knows a hunk when she sees one.

So store manager Joanne Bolduc is setting hearts aflutter with a large poster of a Soviet aerialist she has placed in the front window. This guy is not your average high-wire act. He is a muscle-bound, scantily clad circus performer from the Cirque du Soleil that is appearing at the Costa Mesa mall. Women gasp when he appears as “a blend of Icarus, Adonis and gladiator,” according to a breathless statement from Giorgio.

The performer, Vladimir Kehkaial, will make an appearance at Giorgio from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday. He will sign copies of the poster.

While Giorgio is depending on beefcake, Bullock’s has turned to cheesecake.

Bullock’s at South Coast Plaza will host actress Isabella Rossellini at 2 p.m. on March 16 to promote a new perfume from Lancome. The daughter of Italian director Roberto Rossellini and actress Ingrid Bergman, Rossellini has appeared in such movies as “White Nights,” “Blue Velvet” and most recently “Cousins.”

The Orange County Stock Watch listing was unavailable Wednesday because of computer problems at Newport Securities Inc. The brokerage normally provides a daily report of the biggest percentage stock gains and losses among the county’s largest publicly owned companies.
