Israel and Palestinians
Now that the Persian Gulf War is all but over, diplomats will begin haggling over the future of the region. What better time than now is there for the United States and its allies to make a show of good faith to the entire Arab world that we really do care about all the Arab people, not just the ones with oil?
Why not grant Saddam Hussein just one concession? Offer to not only link the Palestinian issue to the current conflict, but to solve it once and for all by turning the allied occupied territory in Iraq into the new nation of Palestine.
Since Saddam is such a champion of the Palestinian cause, how could he possibly refuse?
