GM Creates Electric Vehicle Unit: General Motors Corp. confirmed that it has recruited several hundred employees from its various operations to create a business unit to market electric vehicles. The group, called GM Electric Vehicles and based at GM’s Technical Center in Warren, Mich., includes engineers, product planners, market developers and sales and service, spokesman Toni Simonetti said.
