William Clay Ford Jr., one of Henry Ford’s heirs on Ford Motor Co.’s board, has been given a new title and duties.

Ford, 33, becomes executive director of business strategy for the Ford Automotive Group, adding the title of executive, the company said. His responsibilities include helping to plan the auto maker’s strategies into the 21st Century.

He was also given duties of the former Asia-Pacific Operations-Dearborn office.
