GTE Settles Litigation With Airfone Inventor: GTE Corp. will pay an unspecified amount of money in connection with a settlement of litigation brought against the company by John Goeken, inventor of air-to-ground telecommunications and the former chief executive of GTE Airfone. Besides the payment to Goeken, the settlement will permit him to rejoin In-Flight Phone Corp., a competitor of GTE Airfone in the air-to- ground telecommunications business.
