WORLD IN BRIEF : ISRAEL : Army Patrol Kills 2 Arab Infiltrators

Two Arab guerrillas with automatic rifles crossed the border from Jordan into northern Israel and were shot dead by an Israeli army patrol, the Israeli army said. It said the two 20-year-old guerrillas infiltrated the frontier during the night. An army patrol discovered the pair just after they had cut through the border fence near the Jewish settlement of Shadmot Mehola, 25 miles south of the Sea of Galilee, an army spokesman said.
