Sharp Settles Go-Video Suit: Sharp Corp., a defendant in Go-Video’s second antitrust lawsuit against Japanese electronics giants, settled for $1.3 million. Now, only Sony Corp., Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. and Victor Co. of Japan are left as defendants in both suits. The first is scheduled for trial Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Phoenix. Go-Video originally filed suit in July, 1987, alleging that Sony, Matsushita, Victor, Sanyo Electric Co., NEC Corp., Samsung Corp. of Korea, and about a dozen other defendants conspired to keep Go-Video from finding a manufacturer for a dual-deck videocassette recorder.
