Lucero Wins Four-Lap Main Event at Speedway

Steve Lucero of Riverside won the four-lap scratch main event in front of 3,302 in the weekly speedway program at the Orange County Fairgrounds on Friday in Costa Mesa.

Shawn McConnell of Brea was second, Mike Faria of Colton was third, and Robert Pfetzing of Santa Ana was fourth.

Gary Hicks of Riverside won the eight-lap handicap main event. Brad Oxley of San Juan Capistrano was second, Josh Larsen of Newport Beach was third, Lance King of Huntington Beach was fourth and Pfetzing, fifth.
