** Aaron Tippin, “You’ve Got to Stand for Something,” RCA. A onetime bodybuilding champ, this South Carolinian aims to muscle his way into the ranks of the great honky-tonk singers. His plaintive wail and modest yodel occasionally echo Hank Williams, but his generic writing isn’t nearly as impressive as his biceps yet. Still, there are flashes of wit and style. He may be able to pump himself up enough to join the heavyweights. Tippin appears with Kathy Mattea at the Celebrity Theatre on April 20.
