Telephone company officials are facing the fury of 2,500 telephone subscribers whose numbers have accidentally been dropped from the latest Dublin directory.

“It could only happen here,” an enraged Trevor Winckworth said after his family was wiped off the official map.

The trouble starts about halfway through the letter W. So Bishop Desmond Williams, Dr. Moira Woods and Judge Hubert Wine have lost out for this year along with Yung’s Chinese Restaurant and the Zimmermann family. Irish Telecom has written to all 2,500 subscribers to apologize.
