PHILIPPINES: The Philippine government will seek trade concessions from the United States as part of a deal to renew the lease on U.S. military installations Clark Air Base and Subic Naval Base. Officials with the Department of Trade and Industry say they will seek a $300-million increase in the current $1.2-billion quota on garments to the United States. They may also seek concessions on coconut oil and sugar.
