ASIA: Japanese firms consider Indonesia and China the most attractive investment prospects in Asia while Western firms cite Singapore and Thailand, the Nihon Keizai Shimbun newspaper says. Its poll of leading Japanese, American and European executives also found that China and South Korea were the most attractive markets. Asia’s projected 6% regional growth rate--twice that of the United States and Eastern Europe--was attributed to political stability, quality education and completion of infrastructure projects paving the way for long-term growth.
