Fairness Is in Eyes of Beholder

I find it appalling that this young beauty contestant was denied accessible communication and had to deal with such prejudicial pageant officials.

Lochrie wanted to understand and to be understood. Not only were the judges unable to speak clearly enough to be lip-read, but they were not attuned enough to all members of the community to enable them to understand her speech. Had the judges mumbled and not been understandable to the hearing contestants, you can be assured that the outcry would be thunderous to either change judges or allow someone to help speak for the offender.
