BOSTON —
Cardinal Bernard Law criticized Boston College for allowing a prominent abortion-rights activist to speak at the Jesuit-run university.
Planned Parenthood President Faye Wattleton was invited by student groups, including an organization of minority students, to speak next Tuesday of her experience as a successful minority businesswoman. Wattleton is black.
In Friday’s edition of the archdiocesan newspaper, the Pilot, Law said Wattleton’s appearance goes against the school’s identity as a Catholic university.
