Joseph Alexander has been elected commander of Gen. William Stark Rosecrans Post 3261, Veterans of Foreign Wars, in Gardena. Elected to serve with Alexander are Mike Taylor and Henry McCann, vice commanders. Other board members are Howard N. Light, James Skelly, William Nilges, Edward Ruiz and Leonard Griffin. VFW members meet at 8 p.m. each second Friday in the VFW Post Hall, 1822 W. 162nd St., Gardena.
