Brinks Driver Robbed by Well-Dressed Gunman
A well-dressed gunman robbed a Brink’s Inc. driver in front of a California Overseas Bank branch and fled with an undetermined amount of money, police said.
The stickup occurred Tuesday as the Brink’s truck pulled up to the bank in the 3700 block of Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles, said Detective Sgt. Jimmy Grayson.
As the Brink’s employee walked toward the bank, a man wearing a dark suit and tie with a white shirt stopped him and pointed a handgun at him. The robber seized the employee’s moneybag and ordered the driver to fill it, which he did. The robber took the driver’s .38-caliber revolver, sprinted to a white Suzuki Samurai, where another man was waiting, and the two fled.
