N.Y. Doormen Back on the Job: The strike of New York apartment building workers that forced the rich, the famous and several hundred thousand others to haul the trash and run elevators ended with a wage pact. Many striking workers began returning to their jobs minutes later. The tentative settlement includes wage increases over three years of 3.4% in the first year, 3.7% in the second and 4.22% in the third.
