THOUSAND OAKS : Farmers Market to Open With a Show

Thousand Oaks merchants are opening the city’s only farmers market Thursday by hosting musical entertainment, dancers, jugglers and clown acts at the Janss Mall.

The weekly market will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. and feature fresh produce from the Ventura County Certified Farmers Market.

Entertainment will include Thumpers Square Dancers, the Conejo Valley Cloggers and the Old Country Trio, a fiddle, banjo and guitar group.

The farmers market is sponsored by the Janss Mall Merchants Assn. Vendors will set up produce stands in the western part of the mall, located at 215 N. Moorpark Road.
