Chris Mullin, the Golden State Warriors’ leading scorer who missed the series-opening 126-116 loss to the Lakers because of a sprained right knee, said that he hopes to play in tonight’s Game 2 at the Forum.

“I’m optimistic,” said Mullin, who tested the knee at practice Tuesday. “But we’ll have to wait and see until game time.”

Mullin averaged 25.3 points and 7.3 rebounds during the Warriors’ first-round victory over San Antonio.
