Japan, U.S. Export-Import Banks in Accord: Japan’s Export-Import Bank announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the U.S. Export-Import Bank to increase coordination of the two banks’ operations. Under the accord, the two institutions will increase exchange of information on possible co-financing projects and work together to promote trade between the United States and Japan. Specifically, the agreement calls for an increase in export volume from the United States to Japan.
