8 Reported Killed, Dozens Hurt on Eve of India Vote

NEW DELHI —
Violence flared in several Indian states on Sunday, the eve of the country’s 10th general elections. At least eight people were killed and dozens injured.
In New Delhi, assailants opened fire at a crowd gathered in front of the home of a Congress-I Party candidate. Three people were killed and 15 injured, police said.
