HemaCare Reports Loss, Cuts Operating Costs
- Share via
HemaCare Corp., a Sherman Oaks provider of blood-related services, said it lost $148,010 in the first quarter, compared with a year-earlier profit of $62,642.
The loss came on a modest increase in HemaCare’s revenue, to $1.74 million from $1.70 million. The revenue figures excluded revenue from operations that HemaCare has discontinued or divested over the past year.
HemaCare has sold certain assets recently, such as plasma centers and clinical-laboratory assets. The company said the sales would help the company return to profitability by cutting its monthly operating costs by about $90,000.
