With regard to the comment made in Wendy Wasserstein’s review of “The Beauty Myth” by Naomi Wolf (May 12): that Wolf believes the “beauty quotient” in our society is “destroying women’s self-confidence and heterosexuality in general.”

I believe that if a woman doesn’t feel loved by a man because of her “sagging breasts” or “squishy stomach,” perhaps these heterosexual relationships weren’t built upon a real love to begin with.
