BUENA PARK : Community Leader Wins Arts Award
Patsy Marshall, a longtime Buena Park community volunteer, has been named this year’s recipient of the Elva Liesch Hughs Laureate of the Arts Award.
The winner of the award, which is bestowed by the city’s Fine Arts Commission, is said to exemplify commitment to the arts and all aspects of community life. Past winners include the Buena Park School District and the Community Chorus.
“Patsy Marshall has unselfishly shared her professional expertise and abilities, along with generous support toward the development of cultural arts in the city of Buena Park and surrounding community,” said Councilwoman Donna L. Chessen before presenting Marshall with the award.
Marshall has been employed at Knott’s Berry Farm since 1975. She has been involved in several community organizations She lives in Buena Park and has twin sons, Pat and Mike.
