Tekelec, a Calabasas maker of telecommunications testing equipment, named Willy M. Verbestel director of technical standards, and Robert C. Musslewhite as senior director of marketing for signaling and cellular products.

Verbestel previously was a senior technical staff member for science and technology at Ameritech, a regional telecommunications holding company based in Chicago. Musslewhite formerly directed international product development at US Sprint, a long-distance communications company.
