Since we happen to be going through...

Since we happen to be going through a late-breaking episode of the “terrible twos,” no will be the operative word until further notice.

This applies to work (we will show up, however), exercise, watching our diet, flossing, going to bed early, drinking eight glasses of water a day, vitamins, the speed limit (in some cases) and lending money to friends.

And the hell with vegetables.

Still, the annual Venice Art Walk is something we just can’t say no to. It’s the principal fund-raising event for the Venice Family Clinic, which provides free health care to the poor and the homeless. It is serving 25% more patients than it did a year ago, but still must turn away 100 people a day. To keep pace with the current caseload, $600,000 must be raised.

This year’s benefit again offers docent and walking tours of 50 Venice artists’ studios, including Laddie John Dill, Guy Dill and Martha Alf.

The event, which also includes a Food Faire featuring dishes from such restaurants as Campanile, Remi and Michael’s, runs from noon to 5 p.m. today. Tickets are $45 and $90. For more information call (213) 392-WALK.
