AST Research-Circuit City Deal? The Irvine-based personal computer company confirmed that it is in talks with Circuit City on a possible deal to distribute AST computers. The initial proposal is for test-marketing some AST products in certain Circuit City stores, AST said. The firm said it is developing a new PC line for the consumer retail market, the goal being a simple “plug and play” model for consumers who have limited PC experience.
