Nation IN BRIEF : NATIONWIDE : Most in Poll Oppose Abortion Ruling
Last month’s Supreme Court decision upholding a restrictive federal regulation on abortion is opposed by 66% of the public, according to a Gallup Poll. In the aftermath of the court’s Rust vs. Sullivan decision, the poll finds 66% of the public supports congressional action to overturn the rrule, which bars family planning clinics that receive federal money from providing patients with information about abortion. The results are based on phone interviews with 1,012 adults May 30 to June 2 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
