Finley P. Dunne Jr.; Writer, Business School Co-Founder

Finley P. Dunne Jr., 87, writer and editor who co-founded the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) in Glendale, Ariz. After graduating from Harvard, he wrote for the Boston Globe, the World and Vanity Fair. He moved to Hollywood in 1933 and turned to screenwriting, assisting on scripts for films such as “Cleopatra,” “Magnificent Obsession” and “Imitation of Life.” Dunne also published a book of poetry, “Song of the Outer Banks,” in 1989. He served for 15 years as executive director and then board chairman of the Temple of Understanding, an interfaith organization. On Monday in Washington, D.C., of prostate cancer and pneumonia.
