Three D Departments Inc., the Costa Mesa retailer of home textiles, posted a net loss of $145,000 for the third quarter, contrasted with year-earlier net income of $20,000. Sales for the quarter ended April 27 remained at $9.8 million.
The company attributed the loss and flat sales to the downturn in the economy.
For the first nine months of the fiscal year, net income totaled $349,000, down 32% from the $515,000 reported for the corresponding 1990 period. Revenue rose 9%, to $33.9 million from $31.1 million.
