Iraq Foreign Minister Ahmed Hussein Khudayer told U.N. envoys in Baghdad that nuclear inspectors will be allowed to see an elusive cache of equipment for manufacturing nuclear bombs. But International Atomic Energy Agency chief Hans Blix and other U.N. officials remained skeptical. An earlier meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Tarik Aziz produced only stonewalling, officials said. Blix and other high-level U.N. officials are demanding access to a large truck convoy of uranium-enrichment materials and equipment. David Kay, an American who is deputy leader of the inspection team, said there is “irrefutable” photographic evidence that the crates contain equipment for making weapons-grade enriched uranium.
