Cease and Desist: The Los Angeles-based Simon Wiesenthal Center faxed off a letter to Germany on Tuesday calling for EMI Records to recall and stop selling a hit racist song recorded by the group Time to Time. “Zehn Kleine Negerlein,” based on a children’s rhyme similar to “Ten Little Indians,” has sold more than 130,000 copies and reached No. 2 in German sales charts. Following complaints last month, EMI had stopped manufacturing and distributing the record, but reportedly it is still being sold in Germany and neighboring countries.
