Racism in America

Share

I found Julianne Malveaux’s article very inspiring. Inspiring because she obviously spoke with great passion about her own life experiences in dealing with racism. There are many who, no doubt, find it repugnant listening to such criticism. They feel it is unfair and unwarranted, even when the evidence seems to say otherwise. She seems to answer these individuals when she mentions those who blather “love it or leave it,” in response to any sort of questioning or criticism. The right of individuals to voice dissent should be a right that is given more than lip service. The fact that many times it isn’t only underscores the point that there are indeed two systems which are pledged to, one to the haves and one to the have-nots.
