Responding to World Hunger

With African children, Bangladeshi children, Filipino children and Kurdish children needing food to eat today, why should the present policy of the United States of paying our farmers not to grow crops continue? Why not secure surplus foods and save those members of the next generation, who as adults will remember us gratefully in the continuing world in peace?
