COSTA MESA : Disposal Program for Bulky Items
The city on Monday started a special trash pickup to help residents get rid of bulky items.
Costa Mesa Disposal Inc., which has the city contract for regular trash pickup, was awarded a $31,130 special contract to pick up heavy items such as mattresses, refrigerators, water heaters, sofas, stoves and tables. The company will not pick up hazardous waste, tires, car bodies, oil drums or building materials.
The program will continue for eight weeks.
