Bankers Trust New York Corp.: The New York banking firm said second-quarter net income rose 6% to $185 million. It said continued strong results from its risk management, global trading and fiduciary and funds management businesses were primarily responsible for the gain. The provision for credit losses for the quarter was $52 million, compared to $28 million a year ago.
